This Hand-Made AMG GT R Speedster Is Beyond Rare

The Bussink GT R SpeedLegend is an ultra-rare retro-inspired speedster, based on the Mercedes AMG GTR

The highly exclusive topless "Merc" was comissioned by a German car collector

Roland A. Bussink comissioned the well-known AMG partner HWA AG to build the car

It's called the Bussink GTR SpeedLegend

And it's a retro-inspired speedster

It draws inspiration from another Mercedes model, as well as from motorsports

The SpeedLegend is heavily influenced by the SLR Stirling Moss and modern Formula One cars

Only 5 will be built

It's expected to be a highly collectible car

The basis was an AMG GTR Convertible

...which was heavily modified

The Y-shaped "Speedbow" is an F1-derived element

It resembles the "Halo" on modern Formula One cars

It still has a windshield...sort of

It has small barchetta-style windshield

The Y-shaped "Speedbow" starts fom the windshield to the headrests

Together with other modifications, it improves structural rigidity

It's not an official AMG product

It was entirely developed by HWA AG

The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 cn be had in stock trim

In which case it produces 577 horsepower and 516 pound-feet (700 Nm) or...

...you can ask HWA nicely to install their performance package

This gives you 850 horsepower and 767 pound-feet (1,040 Nm)

With the Performance package, it becomes the most powerful speedster

Aston Martin V-12 Speedster - 700 horsepower. McLaren Elva - 803 horsepower. Ferrari Monza SP2 - 809 horsepower. Bussink GTR SpeedLegend Performance package - 850 horsepower
