Toyota Elevates The Tundra Pickup Truck With A New Flagship Trim Called The ‘Capstone'

The Tundra Capstone will come with the hybrid engine and in the CrewMax body style as standard

Toyota introduced a new flagship trim called the ‘Capstone’ in the 2022 Tundra’s lineup. It is the seventh trim and will take the apex position

Tundra Capstone – Exterior:

The Capstone trim will be offered in just one body style – CrewMax with a 5.5-foot bed – and six exterior shades - Wind Chill Pearl, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Celestial Silver Metallic, Midnight Black Metallic, Supersonic Red, and Blueprint

It comes with stuff like a unique grille with chrome mesh, 22-inch chrome wheels, power running boards, chrome mirror caps and trim accents, and a chrome ‘TUNDRA’ badge

The maximum towing and payload capacities are rated at 10,340- and 1,485 pounds, respectively. You can also opt for an Adaptive Variable Suspension and load-leveling rear height control air suspension

Tundra Capstone – Interior:

The cabin follows a black and white theme. You get semi-aniline leather upholstered perforated seats. Some other features include: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-inch head-up display, acoustic glass for sound deadening, and panoramic moonroof

A 14-inch touchscreen system comes as standard and it supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also comes with a 12-speaker JBL audio system, and an available 360-degree camera

Tundra Capstone – Powertrain:

It comes with the 3.5-liter V-6 hybrid as standard that churns out 437 HP and 583 lb/ft of torque. It is mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox as standard

The Tundra Capstone will be arriving in Spring this year. There’s no word on the pricing, but we speculate it to be priced a shade over $60,000. Swipe up to learn more about the Tundra Capstone
