The team at Officially Gassed – OG brought in two vehicles that are known for their performance prowess. One is the Nissan GT-R and the other is the Audi RS6. To make things even more interesting, both these vehicles are tuned. The sports car and the family wagon were put through 0-60 mph runs, quarter-mile runs, a rolling race, and finally, a drag race. Overall, we are looking at almost 1,400 horses waiting to be unleashed on the drag strip. Which vehicle do you have your money on?
The Audi RS6 Makes More Power, But Is Also Heavier
The Nissan GT-R comes with a 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V-6 engine that churns out 666 horses and 627 pound-feet of torque in the tuned form. Power is routed to all the wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. This is a Stage 4 mod and includes stuff like 1,000 cc injectors, bigger intakes, and an ECU tune. The GT-R weighs 3,858 pounds.
Its German counterpart, the Audi RS6, features a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 engine that cranks 700 horses and 738 pound-feet of twist. This is an APR Stage 1 build that also comes with a Milltek cat-back exhaust system. Power is sent to all the wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It weighs 4,575 pounds, over 700 pounds more than the GT-R.
How Did They Square Up Against Each Other?
Coming to the rolling race, the Audi RS6 pipped the GT-R just by the nose here to wind up another mighty close round. Coming to the drag race, the GT-R was quick off the line and managed to maintain that lead till the very end, scoring a comprehensive win over the wagon.
The GT-R went in without the manual mode here, but the video didn’t show how the RS6 raced.
