The Splash Package from the 90s is back, and it lands right at home on the new Ford Ranger!
The "Splash Package" used to be famous back in the 1990s when it was offered on the Ranger pickup
Then, back in June 2021 Ford trademarked "Splash" name again and we thought it was going to be used for an electric car
But we were wrong, as it seems that the Splash name will actually be used for a new appearance package offered for the 2022 Ranger
The new Splash will be offered in two versions: Splash Package and Splash Limited Edition
The Splash Package will be offered during the entire 2022 production year
It will include body-side orange and black graphics and special 18-inch 12-spoke wheels finished in matte black
Black accents will be applied on the grille, bumpers, rearview mirror caps, wheel lip moldings and fender vents
For the interior, the seats will offer orange contrast stitching and unique carbon grain with tuxedo stripes
In the Lariat models the seats will be covered in leather
The Splash Limited Edition will be offered just for a few months and only a few hundred vehicles will be built
It will include 18-inch matte black wheels and a unique combination of exterior and interior content and finishes
The new Ranger Splash Package is priced at $1,495 and will be offered for deliveries starting the end of the year
