Ford Mustang Mach-E Police Concept Is The First Step To A Green Police Force

UK’s police is working on making its fleet green!

UK's police force is going electric!

Based on previous requests, Ford developed a first Mach-E concept car for the Metropolitan Police Force

It will be on display at the Emergency Services Show, at the NEC, Birmingham on 7-8 September, 2021.

The concept car is based on the Mustang Mach-E Standard Range AWD (all-wheel drive)

However, Ford plans to also build a version of the Extended Range Mach-E, in both RWD and AWD versions.

One of the main worries when developing the concept was the electricity usage

So, the blue lights, sirens and other high-tech equipment will take the power from the vehicle’s 12V battery and not the drive battery

As a result mileage is not affected

The concept is also the first vehicle to use high specification material to maximize day and night visibility

And, the traditional UK police livery gives the Mach-E a meaner look
