Lamborghini Sends the V-12 Out of Service in Style With the Aventador Ultimae

The Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae LP 780-4 is the last of a dying breed

Stefan Winkelman has unveiled the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780 4 Ultimae

As the name suggests, this new Lambo is the final Aventador

It's naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V-12 engine produces 769 hp and 531 lb-ft

This beast of an engine is mated to a 7 speed transmission which puts its power down through a 4WD system

This new Lambo borrows a lot from both the S & the SVJ

The Ultimae is available as a Coupe limited to just 350 examples

and 250 Roadsters

Ultimae receives a redesigned front fascia in terms of aesthetics with a choice of some tasty new rims

For a design that is over 10 years old, the styling has aged well

The cockpit with its fighter jet style starter button is just as special. It comes with a special numbered plaque between the seats

However, going forward, what will be missed most is that glorious V-12 which is the very Core of what a true Lambo is

The V-12 era began with the Miura back in the 60's. As Lambo put it, it takes time to become timeless

It really is the end of an era for the Italian Marque as we know Lambo intends to introduce Hybrids by 2023

Pricing for the Ultimae is yet to be announced, but expect it to be well over half a million dollars

The Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae will be on display at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed
