Exterior Enhancements the TechArt Way

The most obvious changes are to the exterior of the 911 where we find a not-so-subtle carbon-fiber body kit. In typical TechArt fashion, the kit isn’t just for show, as it produces four times more downforce on the rear axle. Also important is the front lift, which has now been reduced by 45 percent. The body kit consists of flared fenders, two-piece side skirts, a bespoke diffuser, roof spoiler, and a big rear wing, slightly reminiscent of something that you might see on an RWB Porsche.

It wouldn’t be a complete makeover without new wheels. The GT Street R features all-carbon-fiber wheels, which are 265/35ZR20 in the front and 325/30ZR21 in the rear. TechArt recommends you use Michelin Pilot Sport 4S for daily use and Pilot Sport Cup 2 if you plan to hit the track more often.

TechArt Performance At Its Finest

Performance-wise, the TechArt treatment brings upgraded turbochargers, a new active sports exhaust, and a bespoke software upgrade for the engine and transmission control units. . The top speed also climbed up to 217 mph (350 km/h) from 205 mph (330 km/h) and the 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) time is expected to be slightly better than the 2.5-second figure of the stock car.

The GT Street R also benefits from an adjustable coil-over suspension, which can be set from 0.59 inches (15.0 mm) to 0.98 inches (25.0 mm). A fully adjustable suspension kit is also in development, which will be part of the Club Sport package.
