2021 Porsche 993 Speedster Remastered by Gunther Werks Debuts At The 2021 Monterey Car Week

Limited to just 25 examples, find out why this bespoke creation could cost upwards of half a million dollars

Porsche tuner Gunther Werks, based out of California, had its 993 Speedster Remastered on display at the Monterey Car Week.

The car first broke cover back in February and people finally got to witness this car in all its glory last weekend.

Porsche never made a 993 Speedster, but Gunther Werks went ahead with it and created its own, and we're glad that it did.

Because they have really manage to capture the essence of the classic speedster with elements like the raked windscreen from the 964 and that ducktail spoiler.

Viewed from behind, the Speedster shows off its double bubble look with the integrated roll hoops. Weight savings are significant because of extensive use of carbonfiber.

Elements such as the carbonfiber tonneau cover give the Speedster a unique and distinctive look.

Painted in this stunning shade of green, the exterior contrasts well against the punchy orange on the interior.

As with Porsches of the old, those traditional analog dials with a sporty Alcantara sports steering should offer quite a thrilling experience from behind the wheel.

You can't miss out other exquisite details like these bullet shaped aluminium wing mirrors.

Inspired by classic Fuchs design, these five spoke wheels are composed of carbonfiber as well and come with magnesium center-lock wheels.

The 4.0 L flat-six engine produces 435 hp and 335 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a six-speed manual Getrag gearbox. The speedster weighs in at 2,590 lbs.

Only 25 examples of the Gunther Werks 993 Speedster Remastered will be made. Production is set to begin in 2022. Swipe up to read more.
