2021 Toyota BZ4X Concept

A production-spec bZ4x will be revealed later this year and it will go on sale in 2022

Toyota unveiled the bZ4x electric crossover concept for the North American market. Toyota has jointly developed it with Subaru

This is the concept model, but you can expect the production-spec to be largely similar to it

The bZ4x will be roughly the size of the RAV4, according to Toyota. But, given the long wheelbase, it will be a lot more spacious on the inside

The cabin is rather conventional-looking and not as 'futuristic' as an EV. It comes with its fair-share of buttons and knobs on the center console

The digital instrument cluster sits deep in the dash and looks like someone’s holding a PSP! The touchscreen system peeps out, but is integrated in the center console

There seems to ample legroom, thanks to the long wheelbase and lack of transmission tunnel in the floor

The details are scarce, but the bZ4x will be an all-wheel-drive model, thus indicating a dual-motor setup. Range in the 300-mile park should be good to start with

The production-spec bZ4x will go on sale in 2022 and will square up against the Tesla Model S and the Ford Mustang Mach-E

It could be come with a starting price of $40,000
