2022 Toyota Corolla Cross

The third iteration of the Corolla family will go on sale in October, 2021

Toyota is adding a third model to the Corolla lineup

Next to the sedan and the hatchback, a new Cross version will be offered starting October 2021

As you would have expected the Cross is basically a sedan with a more aggressive look and a higher ride

Up front you can easily spot a wider black grille chrome surrounds and black body accents

For the rear, the Cross version adds an integrated rear spoiler and LED lighting

Customers can choose between seven exterior paints and 17- or 18-inch wheels, depending on the trim level

As for the dimensions, the Cross is shorter than the sedan: 175.6 inches versus 182.3 inches

It is higher and wider when compared to the sedan.

The interior was once again carried from the sedan

Power moonroof is offered in all three trim levels

And depending on the model you will opt for you can either get fabric or SofTex®-trimmed seats

The L version offers a 7-inch multimedia touchscreen

While the LE and XLE version feature an 8-inch touchscreen

Cargo room has been set at 25.5 cubic feet behind the second row for the FWD versions and 24.3 cubic feet for the AWD ones

Under the hood there is only one engine offered

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque

It offers a fuel economy of 32 combined MPG for the FWD model and 30 combined MPG for the AWD model

The 2022 Corolla Cross has a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds

There are three trims offered: L, LE and XLE in both FWD and AWD versions
