2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 and Ricky Carmichael

Triumph is going all-out to show us how brilliant the new 2022 Tiger 1200 Adventure bike is going to be. This latest teaser video shows multiple MX World Champion Ricky Carmichael putting a test model through its paces in forests, on dirt roads and at an MX track.

Carmichael is now working with Triumph on its forthcoming off-road range but clearly he has had a bit of input into the new Tiger 1200, which makes sense: why have someone of his calibre on board unless you are going to draw on his expertise?

In the video, Triumph are at pains to insinuate that this new Tiger 1200 is a much more hardcore adventure proposition that the outgoing model, which was always seen as being a bit too soft to challenge the likes of KTM and BMW.

The new model will, in all likelihood, be officially launched at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan in November, with the bike appearing in showrooms in the first quarter of 2022.
