2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT

It’s sport-touring with a GSX-R-derived engine. Yeah, just like that.

Suzuki replaces the GSX-S1000F sport-tourer with an all new “GT” version on the GSX-S1000 platform for the 2022 model year.

Long distance comfort and sportbike performance combine on the new GT and its GT+ sibling, along with top-shelf stability and ride-quality electronics to complete the package.

Both of the GSX-S1000GT siblings carry themselves in a very sport-tastic fashion, but with some calculated adjustments here and there to increase long-distance comfort.

Compared to the outgoing GSX-S1000F, the new GSX-S1000GT has a more upright rider triangle for better comfort and control.

Refinements to the long-stroke GSX-R-derived engine produces increased peak horsepower and a broad, smooth torque curve all through the rev-range.

New electronic throttle bodies give smooth and controlled engine response, especially when accelerating out of a corner.

This newest version of the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) includes a slew of enhanced technology.

It features the updated five-mode Advanced Traction Control System, the three-mode Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, Bi-directional Quick Shift System, as well as the popular Easy Start and Low RPM Assist systems.

The large, 6.5-inch full-color TFT display – a first on a Suzuki motorcycle – is the control panel through which you have access to adjust many of the bike’s S.I.R.S. features.

Suzuki’s mySPIN application also makes its debut and links your smartphone for easy access to contacts, maps, music, and phone communication.

Revised front- and rear-suspension settings enhance both stability and nimble handling you expect from a sport-touring bike.

Contributing to the sporty performance, the TRP six-spoke, lightweight, cast aluminum wheels are unique to the new GSX-S1000 family.

The “Plus” pushes a taller windscreen and adds clip-on tank bags to the cargo capacity,

and for the cold-weather riders out there, heated grips finish out the trim package.

Overall, the S1000GT carries itself with a sporty mien

that even the saddlebags and optional taller windshield can't diminish.

MSRP starts at $13.2k for the GSX-S1000GT and $13.8k for the GT+.
