The Honda Monkey has an insane fan club around the world, but nothing quite matches its craze in South East Asia. Not only does this craze mean excellent sales, but it also results in unrivaled custom builds. A prime (and latest) example comes from popular Thai builder MonQey King (or Winny Boy) who has transformed two Honda Monkeys into Harley-Davidson-inspired baggers. One takes inspiration from the Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST while the other reminds us of the Street Glide.

The Honda Monkey Duo Boast Unmatched Swagger

One look at the Monkeys, and they’ll spell-bind you. The Low Rider ST-inspired Honda boasts a shark-nose fairing up top, complete with a tinted windscreen over it and a chunky fender under it. There’s also a belly pan down low, which along with the spruced-up side panels, adds some brawn to the mix. Not to mention, it gives this bagger a unique identity since there’s no belly pan on the Harley. Meanwhile, the latter end of the Monkey flexes two hard saddlebags (that look sportier than the Harley’s), paired with a wide fender. Speaking of wide, the stock alloy wheels have made way for custom golden hoops wrapped in different tires.

Where you won’t find any major changes, however, is in the suspension and engine department. The 125cc, single-cylinder engine has remained mostly changed, with the only exception being its repositioned, under-belly exhaust, while the upside-down forks and dual shockers are now lower than before. Similarly, the brakes feature the same Nissin calipers, albeit with petal rotors.

Coming to the Street Glide-inspired Monkey, the miniMoto flaunts a batwing fairing at the front. This, paired with the Honda’s round headlight and custom fender, brings it quite close to the Street Glide’s fascia. A similar feat follows at the rear, courtesy of the saddlebags, custom fender, and most importantly, the dual chrome exhausts. Yes, these look nowhere near clean or well-finished, but we still appreciate the effort.

Like the Low Rider version, there are no major updates to the engine and underpinnings. The only notable bits are the chrome wheels, petal rotors, and a plethora of gold (clutch cover, sprocket, master cylinder cover, handlebar grips). Both miniMotos also have a scooped custom saddle, but with the OEM handlebars.

Sadly, there’s no word on the matter. All we know is that these are MonQey King’s old projects, and they were built to promote its range of à la carte accessories.
