Will The Avenger Be Available In The United States?

Yellow Jeep Avenger

The dimensions and design of the Avenger are intended to cater to the European small SUV market. Many European cities are banning gas-powered vehicles, so the Avenger is entering a market where demand is already strong for accessible EVs. The Avenger has sufficient range for most European commutes, with 250 miles in WLTP, this range would more than cover the average commuting distance of 18 miles per day.

Jeep hasn’t announced if or when the Avenger will ever be available in the United States. Affordable EVs are few and far between in the U.S., so this comes as a bit of a disappointment. At the moment, you have models like the Chevrolet Equinox EV and Hyundai Kona EV that that compete in this segment. While the baby Jeep might be better acclimated to the urban jungle, we can see this filling a segment that has little competition Stateside. The first two electric Jeep SUVs anticipated hitting the North American market are said to be the Wagoneer S EV and the Recon EV by 2024.
