With the 2022 SEMA Show just about to open its doors for the public, we get to learn a lot more about the cars that will be displayed in Las Vegas. Nissan has prepared a very long list of cars it will be displayed at the show, starting with a Nissan Z built for a true enthusiast and up to this special Frontier concept that takes the midsize truck to a new level of performance. This cool-looking Nismo Off Road Frontier V-8 concept features a series of Nismo off-road accessories that transform it into a Baja-style, desert running beast.

The new Nismo Off Road Frontier V8 concept borrows its powertrain from the 2023 Titan full-size pickup truck. This means it is powered by a 5.6-liter Endurance® V-8 gasoline engine, but for the concept it was updated with a custom Nismo Off Road cold air intake and a cat-back exhaust system. There is no word on how much power the concept delivers, but the V-8 produces up to 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque in the Titan.

New Suspension For The Win

An off-road truck needs something more purposeful than basic road-going suspension. As such, this Nismo Off Road Frontier V8 concept is equipped with a wide-track suspension featuring the lower control arms, the front spindles, the wheel hubs and the rear axle from the Titan. Nismo also installed custom upper control arms and Bilstein coilover shocks, which will improve payload capacity. The concept rides on special Off Road Axis 18x9 inch wheels wrapped in mud-tires sized 295/70/18.

Carbon Fiber Is Part Of It Too

Nismo is not only offering updates under the hood, it also modified the Frontier’s exterior look to make it more suitable for those off-roading experiences. Updates begin with a wide body kit that includes carbon fiber front fenders, hood, bed sides, and a new off-road front bumper. All these changes help improve the truck's approach angle and tire clearance. To tie everything together, Nismo installed special off-road rock rails, a roof rack, and an off-road in-bed spare wheel-and-tire carrier. A LED lighting bar placed on the roof offers better visibility during night-driving experiences.

Nismo announced that the new range of accessories will be available from Nissan dealerships soon. The company is also preparing a few other parts that are currently in prototype form and will be available in the future.
